The cute little hatchling dragons have cut their first teeth and are ready to gulp down their first bloody chunks of raw meat. Aren't they CUTE!?! Their wings are growing in, and soon they'll be able to swoop down and snag their own prey. They're just adorable. But like Dr. Nis says: "Wouldn't come to close... not at supper time."

Yep, these are the sweet and adorable hatchies. Their
wings scale up very nicely. The teeth morph is set to about 2, and
there is a mix of the standard morphs and some that I made, to get the nice
snarl.
The beast they are noshing on is the poor Poser 4 horse,
with its head turned invisible. I threw it on the ground and smushed
it down.
This is an inverted terrain turned upside down over the
ground, to make a cave. The stalactites are the fir tree effect on
the terrain. There are more terrains behind the figure group, to make
the cave a bit more interesting and the floor a bit less flat. The
rock is some roughed-up rock texture.
To make the cave dark, I made the fog black, and pulled
it up into the scene until it was inside the back of the cave. There
is a bulb light illuminating the foreground scene, and a spot light pointing
up at the front hatchie's face.
The hatchies have their standard material, with a bump
map by TJ (the standard hatchie bump is not available in greyscale). The
dark bits at the edge of the skin show up in Vue (Poser smears them over
and they don't show), which is what is on that back hatchie's head.
The horse's texture is mixed with the Vue blood material
with a function that makes it look chewed on.
The blood on the floor, and dripping from the Hatchies' mouths is made up of Vue 4 rocks. The puddles are squashed flat to the floor, and the drips are stretched long. The foremost Hatchie has a rock in his mouth for the blood/meat to fill it up.
Various tweaking of contrast, darkness, etc. I cleaned up that black seam on the furthest hatchie's belly, although I left the head on (it looks pretty cool).
I painted the front of the horse's severed neck on, as the model was of course just empty there. I used the paint brush and smear tool to put in some dark red and the bone white, and then blend and smooth it.
The blood stains on the hatchies' bodies is a dark blood colour painted on a new layer in... now I can't remember. Overlay? Hard Light? mode.
