I just wanted to play around with Kozaburo's Wave Hair on Michael again. And try to put PhilC's Classic Wrap on him, too. Which was all kinda angel-y so I made this.
Poser 4, Vue d'Esprit 4, Photoshop 4
Wings by Virus/Hokusai
Hair by Kozaburo
Classic Wrap by
PhilC
Sword by Sharkey
This is Michael with his lightened standard texture. That's
Kozaburo's best hair ever created, fitted to him, and with its blond texture.
The wings are loaded and parented to his chest.
Then comes the Classic Wrap. Which is a little
tricky, because it is a conforming garment for Victoria. Naturally,
it doesn't fit Michael. Which is no biggie, I just sized it up, and
then gave it the same pose I gave him. It mostly fit. Silly
me, I didn't realize the clothing's chest would be so.... buxom. I
messed with the morphs on it, but finally I just slapped a magnet across
it to flatten the chest out. (Even Michael's big pecs aren't THAT
big!)
After the Wrap was posed, I adjusted the chest to bend more
forward to fit him properly. The back doesn't fit right, but I don't
care at this point.
The sword is from Sharkey's dark elf collection, available at Renderosity's free stuff. I really need to make a REAL sword grip hand pose. This regular grasping ain't cutting it.
I imported the PZ3 into Vue. (Did I mention how much I LOVE that pz3 import??) I made the sword gold with fiery (supposedly) gems, and gave the blade a glow. I tried various atmospheres to try to get some thick heavenly clouds, but.... they wouldn't bunch up for me too well.
I moved the sun around to the front of the figure, and turned the shadows down from 100% to 70%, and increased the ambient lighting. I made a yellow point light and stuck it near the sword blade to give the effect of the glowing/flaming sword illuminating stuff. With no shadows, it lights up the wing and arm nicely.
The halo is another light with Vue 4's lens flare. It was a bit tricky to get it the right intensity and size, and position, so the light didn't cover his face, and so the halo ring didn't look too freaky along the front.
If you guessed I used the furry brushes on the wing feathers and the sword glow, you were right! I also cloned in some of the hair over Michael's ears, it is a bit thin there. Oh, and I did smear a bit at the right elbow to hopefully make it look less like a bent plastic hose.
