The Idea:

     "Devil Ducky, you're the one...
that makes my Blood Bath so much fun!"

(Just had to get that song outta my head!)

Tools:

     Poser 4, Photoshop 4

Michael 2 from DAZ
with texture by Lyrra, and wedge cut hair
Bathtub by JL
Devil Ducky by me

Figure:

Michael 2, with a happy, smiley, singy vampire face.  This is 'erik,' Lyrra's albino texture from the Shades of Mike project, with the iris material given a red base colour.  That's his wedge hair, with a darkened base colour.  He's sitting in the artistic 'Sitting and Sipping Wine' pose (whatever it is called), with his arms re-positioned, of course.
The tub and faucet fixture are props by JL, slightly resized and proprtioned.
And I positioned (and sized) Devil Ducky in his hand.

I made a quickie black and white checkered marble texture for the ground, in 'Shop.  Slapped it on.  I made the main light a spotlight, shining down.  There is one active infinite light, a low red colour, from the lower left.  The volumetric light cone is painted on, so don't ask how I did it in Poser.

Post Production:

I painted the blood drips, spatters, etc with a paintbrush and a dark blood colour, in a new layer in Overlay mode (I think that's what mode it was).

I didn't mess with putting blood in the tub in the scene, so I had to paint it on.  I started with a pencil and flat blood colour, to fill in the shape.  Then I made about 3 copies of that layer, in various modes -- Overlay and Hard light, and Multiply, until it looked like blood, but slightly transparent.  I smeared bits of flesh tone down from the background, for the reflections on the blood surface.  Then I dodged some highlights in.  The end result was, well, this.

I was about to give up on painting the volumetric light, but Mallen Lane helped me out!  I didn't exactly follow his instructions, but I ended up with a soft conical light about where I wanted it.  A little smearing down helped.
